AMCRA is the knowledge center on antibiotic use and resistance in animals in Belgium and aims to achieve a sustainable antibiotic policy to safeguard public health, animal health and animal welfare.
AMCRA formulates advice to this end, communicates this in a neutral and objective manner, and raises awareness to achieve a rational reduction in the use of antibiotics in veterinary medicine in Belgium. For example, recently an advisory report was issued regarding the use of antibiotics during caesarean sections of cows, but also about selective drying. All AMCRA advice can be consulted on the website www.amcra.be.
AMCRA analyzes antibiotic use at farm level in Belgium and produces antibiotic benchmark reports for livestock farmers and veterinarians. You could receive additional information about this at our stand.
